Dear Pursuing Faith family,
On our most recent trip to the UK, some friends gave me a tour of a church that dated back to the 1200’s. What’s unique about this church is that, at one point, it had literally been buried. Because of powerful coastal storms, nearby sand-dunes, and consistent neglect, the church sat buried in the ground for centuries.
And then, one day, it was revived. Nearby villagers, convinced and convicted they needed to restore the church, set to work, cleared away the sand and debris, and the church was put into use again.
Now, weekly services are held there.
Seeing that church was such a vivid reminder to me of the profound faithfulness and power of God to heal and resurrect even the most desolate places. In 1 Peter 1:3, we read:
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection…”
I’ve always loved that phrase “living hope.” Because isn’t that what the gospel is? In the face of every sorrow, tragedy, hostile person, unmet longing, season of grief, and disappointment, he is still in the process of resurrecting – not only our lives, but someday soon, all of creation.

We at Pursuing Faith have definitely been reminded of God’s resurrection power during the last couple months of ministry.
God has opened doors to share at conferences, churches, television and radio stations, and even a festival on the English coast. We have seen people come to faith, receive prayer, and be baptized. We are so grateful!
Last week, I spent time in Austria speaking and praying for Ukrainian refugees. As you can imagine, I heard harrowing accounts of loss and grief. Families who fled with nothing but the clothes off their back. Wives and mothers who are stricken with worry because their husband’s and sons are on the frontlines of war. Young people who are wrestling with the goodness of God because of all that is happening in their country.
There were tears, heartbreaking stories, and unforgettable conversations about doubt and faith. Yet, through all the pain, I witnessed God’s Spirit bring healing and hope to those who have lost everything. I saw people worship with a passion and tenacity that filled the room with life. I saw an insatiable hunger for God’s Word. I saw steadfast and determined confidence that God would transform life’s tragedy into beauty.
In spite of all that is happening in their lives and country, there are relentless whispers of resurrection.

Looking ahead at the next few weeks, we have opportunities to speak in California, New Mexico, and Colorado. I’ll also be teaching another seminar for staff and volunteers of a church that is seeking to lead their young community and empower their leaders to respond to our current cultural moment of deconstruction. As always, you can see our speaking schedule at our website.
Thank you all so much for praying for Pursuing Faith! And thank you for your financial support that makes ministry like this possible. We couldn’t do it without you.
With love,
Dominic Done
